The Venetian region won the 28th edition of the Region Trophy, an event dedicated to the young volleyball players and beachers. In the team that beat Umbria 3-0 in the final, there was also three Padova players: Enrico Lazzaretto, Alessandro Compagnin and Luca Pedron.
