Piacenza handed the key of the team to setter Luciano De Cecco, promising talented youngster who played at Monza last season. Born in 1988, the Argentine landed in Italy in 2007 with Montichiari but he went back in his home country as early as October. The following season, he wore the shirts of Latina where he won the A2 Cup. From 2009 to 2011 he played in Argentina for Drean Bolivar before signing for Monza last season. De cecco was voted best setter at the World League 2011.
