This afternoon, Padova was up against the Slovenian champions of Ljubljana, which will take part in the Champions League this season. Schiavon’s boys surrendered in four sets as Ljubljana could count on the unstoppable Mory Sidibé, who was last season at Piacenza (one ace, two blocks for a total of 24 points). As for Padova the most accurate in attack was Hiosvany Salgado with 67%.

“This has been a tough game – said assistant coach Simone Roscini – But we knew it would. They made it hard for us from the start and we couldn’t seem to find our rhythm. We played a good second set and the third was tight. This game helped us to take our game to a higher level”.
