BluVolley Verona announced it reached an agreement with Andrea Giani, who will be the club’s head coach for the 2013-14 season. The press conference will take place tomorrow, Friday 19, at 11.30am.

Currently in the national team coaching staff, Giani made his debut at club level in 2007-08 at Modena, where he won the Challenge Cup. Then he coached in A2 with Roma, making the league-cup double and being therefore directly promoted. He stayed in the Italian capital the following two seasons, leading the team to the playoffs in 2011-12. But before his coaching career, Andrea Giani had become a legend of Italian volleyball, gathering 474 appearances with Italy (the record still today), taking part in five Olympic Games, and having an incredible amount of success on the way. All in all, he can boast 38 titles between club and national team, among which 4 European Championships and 3 World Championships with Italy, and 2 Champions League and 5 league titles at club level.
