Matteo, son of the ‘Hand of stone’ Franco Bertoli, will be one of the stars of the Brolo squad. We talked to him on the phone between two games of beach volley.
“I usually never go too far from home but the possibility to play in the A2 again, with a top quality coach and an excellent team made me forget about the distance, although I have to be honest I was about to seal the deal with a different team – explained Bertoli – When I was young the fact I was the son of a star put a little pressure on me and the attempt to emulate him might have had a negative influence on me because I put useless pressure on me, but now that I am more mature, it is not like that anymore. Now having a father that always gives you good advice and helps you at best is great”.
