Just under a month after the beginning of the pre-season, the Italian champion are about to make their debut in a friendly game against the Austrian team of Innsbruck tomorrow in the PalaTrento arena (6.30pm). Just like Trento, Innsbruck will take part in the Cev Champions League this season, this is therefore a quality opponent to start with. Trento will be without its internationals, Birarelli, Lanza and Sokolov, and without setter Suxho, who went back to the States to see the birth of his son Leo Valeri. As for the Austrians, they’ll have the setters Kaszap (former Piacenza player) and Tusch, the outside hitters Jimenez Zamora and Ermacora, spikers Berger, Peda (former Cuneo and Loreto player), Harthaller and Koraimann, middle blockers Frances and Leonardi and libero Kronthaler.

“A friendly game is always particular moment of the preparation – said coach Serniotti – Even more so in our case because this is a brand new squad, we made a lot of changes, and this will be our first test. We’ll need such game to get better and to understand what to work on before the first official encounters”.
