Formia celebrates its champion: Slavatore Rossini. The city of Formia organised a special ceremony for the local athlete, who was welcomed by town mayor Sandro Bartolomeo. Formia handed him a little statue to honour his achievement with the Italian National team, which took the silver medal at the recent European Championships.
“I am thrilled and honoured to receive this acknowledgement – said the Latina star – I have always felt part of this city where I began to play volleyball. I have always had to travel far away from family and friends but in the end the sacrifices paid off”.
