A good crowd came to see the four sets (plus a tie-break) played in a friendly against Verona. Monti’s men came out on top as the main news of the day was the come-back of Zlatanov who had been out since the away game in Modena on November 3. The number 11 did well during the three sets he took part in, scoring 15 points (2 blocks). Both coaches gave court time to the back-ups during the game. Piacenza had the better especially at the net (8 blocks vs 2) and in reception (61% vs 42%). Verona had its best man in Gasparini (16 points, 2 aces).
