It was not easy to substitute a great assistant coach like Simone Roscini, who had stayed 12 years in Padova, but Nicola Baldon, without making much fuss, humble, carried out his job superbly. So much so that he has been renewed for next season, his first in the A1.
“It’s been a fanstastic season – said the assistant born in 1971 in Padova – We also had a bit of luck, we don’t deny it. The work with Valerio Baldovin went well right from the start, we had a good understanding and could work well with the boys. The fact that Orduna and Giannotti have been renewed prove that the club’s policy is to build on the good basis seen in 2013-14. We have seen those boys get better week after week and I agree with Baldovin when he says that the new group, with the new signings, will have to be extremely coachable”.
