The Milan roster that will take part in the A1 is starting to get in shape with the renewal of coach Marco Maranesi and setter Giordano Mattera.
“This is the most important opportunity of my career – said the coach who led Milan in the B1 and A2 last season – I certainly could not have turned it down. We’ll try to build a balanced team, we know we do not have the budget of the top teams but we will try to be competitive with the others”.
“This will be my sixth season in the A1 – said Mattera – I am thrilled to stay at Milan. I want to thank the club for giving me this opportunity to get back in the elite after several years in the A2. It will be tough in the A1, it will be up to me to get the others to have faith in me”.
