The Alessano players resumed training on Tuesday morning as usual. Outside hitter Apostolos Armenakis was missing as he got injured during the Vibo game and will be out for a couple of weeks. But the group got a boost out of their performance last weekend against the strong side of Vibo Valentia, which was pushed to its limits. Alessano was eventually defeated at the tie-break but fought hard from start to finish, which had not always been the case. Next is another tough one away against Cantù, but the spirit with which the team gathered in training is a good sign for the future. Cantù is coming off a 3-1 loss in Corigliano Calabro and will be eager to bounce back.
