Monza completed its spiker department with the addition of Svetoslav Gotsev. Born in 1990, the Bulgarian international has already played in Italy in 2012 with Verona, while he was in Germany last season at Friedirichshafen, together with Nikola Jovovic. He missed out on the World League because of injury but is working for the World Championships to take place in Poland from august 30 to September 21.
“This is a very interesting middle blocker, a player the coach really wanted – said sport director Claudio Bonati – We’re expecting big things from him, and he’ll be eager to bounce back after a difficult season marred by physical problems”.
