BluVolley Verona announced the signing of middle blocker Carmelo Gitto. Born in 1987 in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto in Sicily, he has been playing in the Serie A1 for the last eight seasons, the last five in Latina. He counts 134 appearances in the elite and 63 in the A2. In 2013-14, he scored 181 points (42 blocks).
“Verona showed interest and in just a few hours we reached an agreement – he said – I am very excited, I’ve heard a lot of good about the club. I will be able to play with Verona’s two other middle blockers, who did extremely well last season”.
