Arveno Joan:”We’re all disappointed”

Beaten by Milan, Città di Castello slipped to bottom of the league table. “We’re obviously all disappointed with the way the season went – said president Arveno Joan – We’re not going to make excuses for the inexcusable. Yesterday’s performance proves the group has never really been united, there was no group. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to understand how we only got 10 points in spite of some important names in the roster. I think the players give everything, but surely some mistakes have been made. Maybe we had too many youngsters, but let’s not forget we registered for this season in extremis and that we changed gym three times in three years. I don’t want to make any controversy but we were fine where we were, we just couldn’t stay. Still, We have to thank Sansepolcro who welcomed us in this gym, in which we also had to spend money to meet the requirements of the SuperLega. When we went to Sansepolcro, we hoped for something different, more participation, more following. But let’s not blow things out of proportion, we will start over with positive thinking and we’ll try not to repeat the same mistakes”.
