During his career he won many trophies: the Russian league, the Greek Cup and Super Cup, the Turkish Super Cup, the CEV Cup twice (once with Modena in 2003 and then with Dinamo Moscow in 2007 when he was named MVP and best server of the competition), and a Challenge Cup 2010 with Perugia (best receiver). His record in the national team is as impressive: 233 caps, he got the silver medal at the Olympic Games 2004 in Athens, he won two European Championships 2003 and 2005, a bronze and silver medal in the World League, silver in the World Championships 2003 and a bronze medal in the Grand Champions Cup 2005. His signing has the Alessano faithful dreaming.

“I can’t really judge our roster because I only know Marco Piscopo – he said – But I like the fact there are many youngsters, I’ll be able to give them some advice thanks to the experience I gathered in the many years spent in volleyball. I will try to do my best to help them and collaborate with the coach”.
