Perugia, Verona in cup draws

The draw for the CEV Cup and Challenge Cup took place this morning in Luxemburg. Last year, the winner of the CEV Cup was Dinamo Moscow, while the Serbians of Vojvodina had triumphed in the Challenge Cup.

Sir Safety-Sicoma Perugia will start its european campaign in the 16th of finals against the Czech of Karlovarsko. FIVB World League

Video Check in 9 countries

Five nations will be using the Italian Video check during the World League: Iran (who bought the system for its Federation last year), The United States, Australia, Serbia and obviously Italy.

The instant replay system, developed by the Italian Volleyball League in collaboration with the FIPA, will also star in women’s volleyball. Indeed, four federations requested it for the World Grand Prix, the annual competition organized by the FIVB for the most successful nations in the world. The four federations are Turkey, Japan, China and Thailand.

Nine nations have therefore requested the Video Check for the summer competitions of the FIVB.
