Civitanova celebrated its game number one thousand in the Serie A with a win over Padova on the road. MVP: Fabio Balaso (Tonazzo Padova).
Fabio Balaso (Tonazzo Padova): “We were very close from the tie-break. We have always put them under pressure thanks to our work in the block-dig department, but in the end they did a great job of scoring when it mattered. It’s very disappointing but I am convinced we can make further progress and give a game to anyone”.
Marko Podrascanin (Cucine Lube Banca Marche Civitanova): “That was a crucial win because we got it away from home against a team that plays good volleyball and made it very hard for us. We needed to be at our best to win it, we have been lucky to take all three points because we did not play to the maximum of our potential”.

REVIVRE MILANO – EXPRIVIA MOLFETTA 2-3 (23-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-17, 10-15) – REVIVRE MILANO: Milushev 17, Alletti 13, Sottile 7, Sbertoli, Russomanno Dos Santos 8, Tosi (L), De Togni, Baranek 11, Galaverna 4, Burgsthaler 12, Marretta. DNP Gavenda, Rivan. Coach. Monti.

Milan came back from behind twice to force a tie-break but eventually surrendered to Molfetta. Milan had taken the early initiatives in the fifth (3-1) but Molfetta immediately fought back (5-8). Soon after Milan managed to tie it at 8-8 but Molfetta escaped again, and this time for good (10-15). MVP: Aimone ALLETTI (Revivre Milano).
Daniele Sottile (Revivre Milano): “Milan played good volleyball today compared to the other outings and the objective difficulties which I don’t want to talk about. We have played with fighting spirit from start to finish. Shame we lost that third set, we deserved to win it and that could have changed the outcome of the game. But we have definitely seen some progress today”.
Raydel Hierrezuelo (Exprivia Molfetta): “It’s been very tough to play here, they played with fighting spirit. But we obtained two important points in the tie-break.

CMC ROMAGNA – SIR SAFETY CONAD PERUGIA 1-3 (20-25, 18-25, 25-23, 21-25) – CMC ROMAGNA: Mengozzi 10, Cavanna 1, Della Lunga 1, Van Garderen 8, Polo 8, Koumentakis 12, Goi (L), Torres 16, Boswinkel 6, Bari (L), Perini De Aviz. DNP Ricci, Zappoli. Coach. Kantor.
SIR SAFETY CONAD PERUGIA: Buti 5, Fromm 25, De Cecco 3, Kaliberda 18, Giovi (L), Russell, Tzioumakas 14, Atanasijevic 10, Fanuli (L), Birarelli 2. DNP Holt, Dimitrov, Elia, Franceschini. Coach. Castellani.
Both Ramagna and Perugia were in good shape and coming off respective wins ahead of this clash. Romagna gave it a great fight, which lasted over two hours, but they will be disappointed to end up empty handed. Perugia could not count on the usual Atanasijevic but had a positive performance from Tzioumakas, well assisted by Fromm and Kaliberda. MVP: Tzioumakas (Sir Safety Perugia).
Riccardo Goi (CMC Romagna): “We played well only in flahses. We got off to a strong start but then got stuck. At times we managed to keep up with their rhythm, but then we’d lack composure in the clutch moments. They played better and better as the game wore on. Kaliberda and Fromm had a great game, while we failed to make the most of our opportunities to get a tie-break”.
Emanuele Birarelli (Sir Safety Perugia): “It’s a great victory that will do us a lot of good, we’re extremely satisfied. It’s been a tough game, which came fast after Sunday’s encounter. Some have logically felt a little tired today, but winning with the contribution of the ones who come from the bench will help us realise even more that we’re a group”.

GI GROUP MONZA – DHL MODENA 1-3 (25-23, 18-25, 20-25, 17-25) – GI GROUP MONZA: Galliani 2, Mercorio, Jovovic 6, Rizzo (L), Botto 2, Verhees 8, Beretta 11, Zanatta Buiatti 16, Rousseaux 8. DNP Copelli, Sala, Daldello, Brunetti, Gao. Coach. Vacondio.
DHL MODENA: Mossa De Rezende 4, Donadio, Petric 16, Casadei, Rossini (L), Nikic 8, Piano 7, Bossi 1, Saatkamp 17, Vettori 18. DNP Soli, Sartoretti, Sighinolfi. Coach. Lorenzetti.
In front of over 2000 fans, Monza played some accurate volleyball and with heart but this was not enough to stop the league leaders of Modena. Lorenzetti’s men lost the opening set but fought back to take all three points. MVP: Luca Vettori

Renan Zanatta (Gi Group Team Monza): “It’s a shame that after a first set played with determination and discipline, we got back to playing without consistency in the second and third set. When you play against such a quality team, if you make that many mistakes, then it becomes almost impossible to get back in it. We proved we were tough to beat when we play our game. If we want to get better we have to keep working with this character and will, but we must cut down on our mistakes”.
Nemanja Petric (DHL Modena): “Unlike Monza who played excellent volleyball for the whole first set, we got off to a poor start. Then once we played better on the break, our qualities were there to be seen. That was an important victory, good for the confidence of the squad and which brings us three crucial points. Monza is an excellent team. They will have a very good season, I am sure about that”.
