It was very tight at the beginning with Baranowicz and Garghella making it 7 apiece. Spirito spiked the 11-10 and Bertelle was blocked (13-11 for Milan) but he fought back to get a block himself for another tie (13-13). Baranowicz and Spirito scored important points (15-15) but in the end Verona had to surrender 19-17.
