Ivan Miljkovic had helped the club win its first ever league title against Treviso in game 5 in front of 11 thousand fans. It was in 2006, among many other trophies during his stay from 2000 to 2007: the Champions League 2002, the Italian Cup in 2001 and 2003 and the three CEV Cups in 2001, 2005 and 2006. And now he’s back after spells and more success in Rome, Olympiacos and Fenerbahce.
“it’s like going back home for me – said Miljkovic, who also won the gold medal at the Olympic Games 2000 in Sydney and two European Championships with Serbia – In all those years away I had the chance to earn a lot of money but I realized that in life there are more important things than money”. Miljkovic obtained the Italian citizenship ten days ago and could be cleared to play as Italian soon.
