Brescia went very close from a breakthrough in its debut game of the Serie A2. Thanks to an excellent work at the net and in reception, Zambonardi’s men could seal some brilliant attacking plays through Cisolla and outside hitter Bisi (23 points) and they won the first set. The hosts drew level but Brescia secured a point by going 2-1 up, and Cisolla and co were now going after the breakthrough. But let by a superb Paoletti, Ortona got back in it and used the momentum as well as the tired legs of Brescia to seal it in five sets.
