No less than three Padova players are involved with Italy’s Under 21 team in the World Championships. And they have been serving their country well, helping the team make it three out of three in the beginning of competition in Mexico. Outside hitter Milan and libero Balaso had excellent games as Italy collected a 3-1 win over Slovenia, a 3-0 win over France and then a 3-1 victory over Japan. Setter Francesco Zoppellari, who will move to Club Italia in the A2 this season, has been valuable too.
