“Welcome to those who are back in Piacenza, to those who joined the coaching staff and to those who are not as famous but very important all the same”. These were President Molinari’s opening words in the press conference to officially unveil libero Loris Manià, athletic trainer Giombini and scout Di Maio as new Piacenza members. The host of the event was Ranstad, a Dutch multinational active since 1960 in the research, selection and training of human resources and administration work.

“I started my career here nine years ago – said libero Manià, who helped Piacenza to reach the CEV Cup final four in league final in 2007 – After that I had various experiences around the country at Montichiari, Modena and Latina. When I received the call from Piacenza I was so happy”.

Then Leondino Giombini explained that he hanged up his boots two years ago with coach Giuliani, who had told him to be ready for his call once he’d have found a team. Finally Roberto Di Mario spent a few words “I started my career in Maddalena as assistant coach, a position I had in Gela in the A2 as well. But I became passionate about scouting in Monza, where I spent my last four seasons. I am delighted to be here and I want to thank Alberto Giuliani for wanting me in his team”.
