In spite of an excellent team performance and a lot of character from the get go, Monza could not get its first victory in the Turkey Sports Writer Association tournament. In front of its president Alessandra Marzari, who flew to the Turkish capital to see this second game, Monza got off to a superb start and won the first set but the Hosts of Ziraat Bankasi eventually won it 3-1.
“We had a good game, we began with motivation and determination – said libero Marco Rizzo – We might have made a few too many mistakes at important moments like at the end of the second set, though. But I think we are making progress day after day”.
