Castellana Grotte, an opponent with a tradition

The first time Santa Croce met Castellana Grotte was in 1995-96. The team from Apulia had won 3-0 home and 3-1 in Montecatini, where Santa Croce played that year. The outside hitter was Mikyska and the setter Cannestracci. In A1 in 2012-13, they had then decided tp start over from the B2 division, where they spent two seasons before playing in the B1 in 2015-16 and go up in the A2 this season. Now the city of Castellana Grotte has two teams in the second division. Santa Croce will take on the New Mater BCC Nep Castellana this Saturday.
