Three years on, Jan Stokr comes back home. The winningest outside hitter in Trentino’s history has just put pen to paper on a one-year deal. Thanks to Stokr’s arrival and the constant progress of Gabriele Nelli, Trento will once again have a top quality pair of outside hitters for the coming season. Stokr experienced some of the best years of the club, included the treble of League, Champions League and World Club Championships in 2011. His name is associated with nine of the 16 titles of the club.
“Coming back to Trento is something incredible for me, I could not believe it until I actually signed the contract – said Jan Stokr – After my experience in Korea, I really wanted to come back to Europe. I received so many offers, and I was ready to evaluate them, until I received the call from Trentino. I was surprised, I accepted immediately. This club and their fans are special, they would always have the priority”.
