Reggio Emilia re-signed one of the main architects of its superb come-back last season which led to the playoffs semi-finals. Many times, libero Davide Morgese got the crowd on its feet with improbable recoveries. Born in 1996, he came up in the region, at Polisportiva Campeginese. He will play his third season at Reggio.
“I am delighted and proud I have been extended – said Morgese – I felt at ease from day one in Reggio and with my teammates. I can’t wait to start getting down to serious business again. I’ve seen the newly promoted teams as well as the others build excellent rosters and I can’t wait to play against them. I’m glad many of my teammates decided to stay, we all got along and the results we got is testimony. We’re still disappointed with that semi-final but we’ll have another go”.
