After the signing of Spirito, the club announced the addition of back-up setter Giacomo Leoni. Born in 1995 in Genova, the young athlete is already part of Italy’s national team Under 23. He’s coming off a very positive season in the SuperLega as Orduna’s back-up in Padova.
“This is a thrilling and exciting challenge – said Leoni – We’ll have a very young team, just like I had in Padova, and that means we’ll need to work extremely hard, but we’ll have some fun too. Just like my teammates, I’ll have a great opportunity to get better as a player and I’m sure the club will do everything to put us in the best conditions to succeed and perform at our best”.
