Trento got right back on track following last Sunday’s defeat in Perugia by overcoming the challenge of Ravenna. Thanks to those three points, Lorenzetti’s men will momentarily move into second place. Solé was in the stands (flu) and Lanza was on the bench but Trento proved it had other alternatives with Antonov and Daniele Mazzone. The first had some good serves while the second got the MVP award on his come-back from injury.
Angelo Lorenzetti (coach Diatec Trentino): “We won it but it was tight. We struggled all game long on the counter. In teh second set, we escaped thanks to our serve, which did not work as well in the third, forcing to play a tight set. I am glad to have Daniele MAzzone back, and hopefully I’ll have Solé back too from Wednesday as he had the flu. It is crucial to be able to train all together before the Final Four ».
Fabio Soli (coach Bunge Ravenna): “We gave a hard time to Trento, we played well, I am satisfied. It’s obvious that against such team it’s not enough to play well. The main regrets comes from the end of the first set. If we had won it, we’d have had even more motivation and maybe the result could have been different ».
