Cucine Lube Civitanova won on rad at PalaYamamay in Busto Arsizio, defeating undefeated Revivre Milano on their home turf. It was a beautiful and exciting game, great performance in playmaking for american setter Micah Christenson, Mvp of the game, who dished dozens of great balls to Osmany Juantorena and Tsvetan Sokolov, 18 points apiece for the Cuban-Italian and the bulgarian. A good game also for Middle blocker Enrico Cester (with three blocks). On the other hand a bad night for german Ruben Schott, benched by Andrea Giani early in the game, with Kevin Kilinkember in his place. The best for Revevie was as usual dutchman Nimir Abdel Aziz, 27 points for the Orange, but too many mistakes in the fundamental of serve. Good offensive game for former Lube Klemen Cebulj, 16 points for the slovenian versus his former team.
In first set the game was in balance, with a 26-24 win for Lube at the extras. More clear the superiority of Civitanova in second set, won 25-22. In third Revivre fought back, taking an early lead, being trailed in the crunch time, killing one match point on 24-23 and winning the set 26-24. In fourth the quality of Christenson made the difference for Lube, driving Giampaolo Medei’s team to grab the 25-22 win, and taking home the three points.
 
Gianluca Galassi (Revivre Milano): “We are disappointed. Lube was favourite but we saw that also versus the powerhuoses we can campete. We showed this also tonight. We have lack of experience, we saw this especially in first set, we had a good reaction in third, and in fourth we weren’t able to handle the advantage we had in the middle of the set. Would be good to grab one point, on tonight versus Lube”.
Tsvetan Sokolov: (Cucine Lube Civitanova): “We wanted to win this game, in this moment we’re not in great shape but we were good in handling the moments of the game.Milano played a good game, in this period we are having 4 games in few days, the day after tomorrow we’ll be in Latina, no time to rest. We have to recover and think on sunday’s game, that will be difficult”.
