At the age of 85 former Panini Modena player Josef Musil passed away in Prague, his hometown.
He was protagonist of the first italian championship of Panini Modena in 1970, President Catia Pedrini said: “he was a great person, a kind of father for all the players of those 70’s team.

Josef Musil, together with Antonio Barone (husband of president Catia Pedrini, who recently passed away) was one of the top players of Panini Modena italian champ in 1970 Musil played 300 games with the jersey of Czechoslovakia, winning a bunch of gold, silver and bronze medals at European, World Championships and Olympic games. In 2001 he was name player of the century in Czechoslovakia, and one of the best 8 players in FIVB history.. In 2004 he was inducted in Volleyball Hall Of Fame.
