Beaten last Sunday in the league in Perugia, Trento put it all behind with a qualification into the CEV Cup 8th of finals. The Italians had began to do the job in Finland with a 3-0 win in the first leg and they finished it off with another sweep over Loimaa. Urnaut stood out with 15 points (3 aces, 2 aces) but Antonov (58%) and Burgsthaler (3 blocks) did well too.

« We did well and did not lose time in taking the results we wanted – said coach Angelo Lorenzetti – This qualification will allow us to face the game against Ravenna and the cup final four in good spirit. Still, tonight again, there were some old demons, things we’ve been doing for too long and we have to correct. On the positive side, I could sent on some players who had not played as much tonight and they responded well. I am happy with that because in such a long season, I really need everybody ».
