This morning at Mayor’s room in Bari took place the press conference of introduction of upcoming Del Monte Italian Cup Final Four, which will take place at PalaFlorio in Bari next 27th and 28th January.
Pietro Petruzzelli, executive of the Mayor for Sport in the city, welcomed Fipav, Lega Volley and the media, talking about the event: “we are happy to have in this season a Superleague team in the city, Bcc Castellana Grotte, and obviously we are happy and proud to have this great event”.
Fipav Vice President Giuseppe Manfredi said: “after the event in Brindisi with the Supercup, and the big event of italian national team youth league in Martina Franca who rallied 2000 spectators, we are approaching this main event in Italy, volleyball in Puglia is the soul of thousends of young people”.
Lega Volley CEO Massimo Righi said: “we are in Bari because Puglia region is one of the historical volleyball regions in Italy, we have alot of clubs and players here, 4 teams in Serie A2, one team in Superleague, and plus it’s great to play in an Arena dedicated to Pietro Floriano Florio, former Fipav president and a big man of volleyball. There is a big expectation for this event, we are approaching the sold out for both the days of the event”.
There will be a great volleyball showdown with the Vice World Champs of Cucine Lube Civitanova, the Vice European Champs of Sir Safety Conad Perugia, and two other big powerhouses as Azimut Modena and Diatec Trentino.
