Giacomo Selleri closes the setters department of Brugherio and will make his debut in the first team in the Serie A3 Credem Banca season 2022/23.
Tenth athlete from our youth sector announced in the first team, eighth under 18 to make up the Serie A squad of Diavoli Rosa, Selleri is a player used to running, used to challenges, to always compete with the greatest.
Awake and ambitious, at the age of 11 he already had his say in the under 14 championship, immediately becoming the protagonist of the national finals. From there a crescendo of experiences, titles and successes.
From the 2017/18 season the unbeaten chapter for him opens: he won everything in under 13 in that season under the guidance of coach Durand, who will now find himself in Serie A, won everything in under 14 in 2018/19 complete with the title of Italian champion of the category, the first for both Selleri and the club.
Evidently together they got a taste for the Italian flag.
Two consecutive league titles arrive in the Under 17s in the 2020/21 season and in the one that has just ended, national finals where Selleri was elected the best setter in Italy.
The club already decided this year to reward him by entrusting him with the direction of the under 20s in the prestigious Junior League competition organized by the Serie A Volleyball League reserved only for the clubs of the consortium. Here too he beat the competition and led the Gamma Chimica to win the league title.
Talent and discipline in his hands, observer and with a strong ability to make everything he is told and proposed his own, Selleri responded to the call in the first team of his company and will be one of the protagonists of the 2022/23 season.
