Assistant coach Nicola Daldello: “The preparation is going very well. The goal of these first few weeks was to readjust the boys to work, who in any case had kept fit individually during the summer, and a gradual readjustment also to volleyball and the gym. In the coming weeks, however, the goal will become to bring the athletes as close as possible to the rhythm of the boys who will then join the group when the World Cup ends; this is the goal from now until the rest of the group will join. Then it will be the others who will give us a hand to pick up the right pace to start the championship. Furthermore, in this initial phase we have received the contribution of some boys of our youth sector of the Pink Devils, whose help is invaluable in the absence of some roles at the moment, this also allows us to evaluate them for a discussion of growth within the society”.

In fact, in the second week of work, three athletes from the white-blue nursery joined the Milanese group made up of Paolo Porro, Marco Vitelli, Matteo Piano, Nicola Pesaresi, Federico Bonacchi and Luca Colombo to encourage the preparation of the boys of coach Piazza: they are the spikers Guzzetti Gabriele (2004) and Trabatti Giacomo (2005) together with the opposite Samuele Bellanca (2006).
