Francesco Gianotti will be Alessio Alberini’s backup at the Pool Libertas Cantù. Born in 2003, already in the round of the national youth teams, the setter from Desio arrives in the shadow of the bell tower of San Paolo after the last six years at Vero Volley Monza. In the last championship in particular he was in the orbit of the first team, also making his international debut in the CEV Cup, then won by the Monza team.

“Francesco is another excellent product of the Vero Volley youth leagues – says Coach Francesco Denora -: he will be able to compete for the first time with a professional reality and it will be up to the staff to drive him on this path. It will be your responsibility to learn from the most experienced players in each training session. The technical contribution and enthusiasm of these guys will be essential to achieve our goals “.

“I accepted Cantù’s proposal – says the setter of Desio – not only on the advice of my brother (Alessandro, central of Pool Libertas in the 2020-2021 season, ed), but above all because it is a company attentive to all details, and for the team that has been set up. I am convinced that we will be very competitive, and we will do well. It will certainly be a very high level championship, and thanks to my teammates, I will be able to improve a lot, which is my personal goal for this year. For me, Serie A2 is a completely new world, and I can’t wait to discover it! ”.
