The World dream of two Vero Volley Monza athletes continues: the Italian central, Gianluca Galassi, and the Brazilian recorder, Fernando Kreling. The two athletes of the first men’s team of the Vero Volley Consortium, thanks to Italy’s first place in Pool E and Brazil in Pool B, therefore access the Round of 16 of the competition. The day after tomorrow, Saturday 3 September, the Azzurri, not only first in their group but the best representative so far in the general standings for performance thanks to the three 3-0 victories against Canada, Turkey and China, will face Cuba, one of the best third, at 9.15 pm, at the Stožice Arena in Ljubljana. For Brazil, fifth in the provisional ranking with three wins, one of which 3-2 against Cuba and two 3-0 against Japan and Qatar, there will be Iran, second in Pool F behind the Netherlands: appointment on Wednesday September 7, at the Gliwice Arena in Gliwice, Poland, at 9.15 pm.

Instead, the race for the title is interrupted for three other athletes of the Monza Consortium: Canada of Stephen Maar and Arthur Szwarc, third in Pool E behind Italy and Turkey, and Bulgaria of Denis Karyagin, failed to remove the pass for the fourth last act of the event.
