The start of the championship is getting closer and closer and the Ionian team is busy with the last joint training sessions planned for the pre-season. Tomorrow and for the whole weekend, it will be the turn of the friendly “Team Spirit” Tournament at the multipurpose gym in Gubbio. The charity tournament is in its 10th edition, organized by the Spirit Onlus association, a reality operating in the territory of Gubbio with the aim of practicing horse therapy for disabled and handicapped people of various kinds, quadrangular in which the rossoblù, Top Volley Latina teams will participate , Emma Villas Siena and the Bulgarian team coached by coach Placì Hebar Pazardzhik.
The first match of the Gioiella Prisma Taranto will be tomorrow at 6pm against Top Volley Cisterna, coached by coach Soli, with well-known players such as Baranowicz as setter, which has been confirmed, Dirlic, the opposite Croatian diagonally, the middle Zingel together with Rossi, the libero Catania, and the Croatian spiker Sedlacek. A team against which Gioiella has already played several salvation fights last season, will therefore be an excellent test to understand the levels of the two teams.
The other match will be at 3 pm and will see Siena and coach Placì’s Bulgarian team, Hebar Pazardzhik, face off. On Sunday the 3-4 place finals will take place with subsequent awards ceremony at 3 pm, and the final at 6 pm.
