In the 2022/23 season the red and white setter Luciano De Cecco will wear the captain’s armband of the Cucine Lube Civitanova. Following the departure of Osmany Juantorena, after consulting with the club, coach Chicco Blengini decided to give this chance to the Argentine player. The number 15 of the Italian champions, in his third year with Lube, immediately understood the importance of being able to lead the tricolor Lube towards new goals.
De Cecco, who in the last season found himself in the role of deputy captain on the pitch when Robertlandy Simon took the place of the injured Juantorena, was therefore chosen by the club and coach as the new point of reference for the red and white roster. Responsibility that the setter from Santa Fe immediately welcomed with gratitude and pride.

From today De Cecco is part of the list of captains in the history of Cucine Lube Civitanova, a role that in recent times (from 2010 onwards) has been played by Omrcen, Monopoli, Zaystev, Podrascanin, Miljkovic, Stankovic and Juantorena.
