Tomorrow Emma Villas Aubay Siena will play their first test match of this pre-season phase and will do so wearing their new third jersey. It is a purple-red jersey, which will be worn by the players of the Sienese team throughout the pre-season phase and which will in any case also be used for the entire season by the volleyball players of the Tuscan team in the pre-match warm-up phases.

Coach Paolo Montagnani’s team will play their first friendly match of the preseason tomorrow. The appointment is set at 6 pm, when the test match against Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce will start at PalaEstra. A Tuscan derby played several times over the last few seasons: it was the last official match of last season, with the victory of the Sienese at PalaParenti which gave biancoblu the then mathematical salvation in Serie A2, and will also be the first friendly match of this new season.

The entrance to the PalaEstra will be free on the occasion. It will therefore be the first opportunity for the Sienese fans to see the new players of Emma Villas Aubay engaged in the competition. However, the team coached by coach Paolo Montagnani is not yet complete, given that Pinali, Petric and Van Garderen are currently busy at the World Cup with their respective national teams.

Chiara Li Volti, communication manager of Emma Villas Aubay Siena talks about the new third kit of the team: “The new Macron third kit – these are his statements – will accompany the team throughout the preseason phase starting tomorrow, Friday 2 September, at PalaEstra in the first joint training scheduled in the program. The choice of red is a tribute to one of the test match kits used at the origins of the biancoblu project when the team was still playing in Serie B, in the year of promotion to Serie A. The design is updated to contemporary times thanks to the red color variant purple, ivory details and the background texture with the words ‘Siena’. It is also a tribute to the city we represent ”.
