In the first of the five test matches that will accompany the boys of coach Tofoli to their debut in the league (on 09 October, at PalaBarbazza against Belluno), the Volley Team faced Monselice, the newly promoted team in A3 to the third joint training in the last two weeks.

The main objective of the day, but also of the next tests, is to become familiar with the field and test, as far as possible at this time of the season, the amalgamation of the group without giving too much credit to the final result.

With Dalmonte and Mandilaris kept at rest to dispose of the burdens of the first month of work, Mr. Tofoli entrusted himself to Mignano in the control room, Tuis opposite, Umek and Palmisano in the band, Mazzanti and Dal Col in the center with Bassanello free.

The result is a tight match with the two teams never giving the opponent a clear advantage; Volley Team takes home the first set for 27-25 but yields in the following 3 (all with a score of 25-22) against an opponent who, as mentioned, is in the third test of the season and therefore later in preparation. In evidence in the sandonatesi Umek and Tuis, authors respectively of 18 and 16 points. Wide rotations in the various sets with Mignano and Mazzon alternating one set each and with Trevisiol and Amarilli entering the last set in place of Mazzanti and Bassanello.

Satisfied coach Tofoli who comments on the game as follows:

“It was our first outing of the season and it was definitely positive because I am starting to have some indications. It must be said that we are a bit reworked because we missed Mandilaris and Dalmonte even though the other guys did well. It was an intense game where we played at a decent level even though we are a bit burdened as we are in physical preparation. ”

Appointment on Wednesday 21st at the Spes Arena against Belluno for the second test of the season.
