2022 really ended in the best possible way for Sir Safety Susa Perugia.
Yesterday evening’s victory at the PalaBarton against Top Volley Cisterna in the quarterfinals of the Del Monte® Coppa Italia sanctioned the access of the Block Devils to the Final Four of the competition which assigns the tricolor cockade for the ninth time, the sixth consecutive, in eleven top flight seasons.
Yesterday evening’s victory also extends the positive streak of President Sirci’s line-up who wins the twenty-fourth consecutive smile of the season and ends a truly fantastic 2022 and first part of the season with an enriched bulletin board and where an Italian Super Cup and the World Cup already shine for Clubs.
Now for the bianconeri there are four days of well-deserved rest. Anastasi has in fact left the boys free until the morning of January 3 when the team will meet in Pian di Massiano to resume work in view of the many important commitments of the upcoming year.

“We were very keen on the match with Cisterna”, says Andrea Anastasi. “We prepared it well, we went onto the pitch concentrated, once again working very well with the block, which is a priority for us. I’m happy, it was an important stage in our journey before closing the year and before a four-day stop which will be useful for us to rest a bit. We have made an important journey with twenty-four races in less than three months. We have practically always played, but in January we will have the opportunity to train and it will be a precious moment. The lads have been magnificent so far, but we also need to train to focus on some aspects of our game and to be prepared for the important moments of the season. The next important moment will obviously be the Italian Cup Final Four”.
