In the late afternoon today the magic of the CEV Champions League has returned to capture all volleyball fans thanks to the European polls in Brussels. The draw set the path of Cucine Lube Civitanova in the group stage of the highest continental event for Clubs.

The Italian Champions will start their adventure in the 2023 edition in November in Group C with Knack Roeselare (BEL), Tours VB (FRA), and one of the winners of the third qualifying round.

General Director Beppe Cormio comments on the outcome of the polls as follows: “This is a balanced draw. For me, not allowing direct clashes between teams of the same nation in the Pools is a sensible change, especially with the new regulation. Only the first of the groups pass to the quarters, while the second and the best third will clash in an intermediate round. We avoided risky derbies. The iron group of this edition will be that of Zaksa and Trento, the finalists of the last two editions. We will compete with trips already faced in recent years in Belgium and France. The unknown factor of the last team to qualify remains, but the teams to beat are the Belgian sextet and the french one. ”

Lube will know the name of the last opponent at the end of the third qualifying round of the CEV Champions League.
