The last ball of the 2022/2023 season fell just over two weeks ago on the Bergamo taraflex. Delta Group Porto Viro failed to get past the first round of the Serie A2 Credem Banca playoffs, but the year was still very high-profile for the nerofucsia: third place in the regular season, second consecutive participation in the A2 Italian Cup , a haul of 16 overall victories, the satisfaction of having beaten (almost) all the greats in the championship.
“The balance is certainly positive, we have achieved all the objectives we set ourselves – comments the President Luigi Veronese in his point at the end of the season – A little regret remains perhaps for the quarter-finals of the playoffs, we would have liked to continue on the path or at least give our fans the chance to see another home game. On the other hand, given the choice, it’s better to lose against a friendly club and a great team like Bergamo.”
“This year’s sporting results proved us right but perhaps the greatest satisfaction was seeing our arena always full – continues Veronese – Game after game, the boys on the field earned the affection of the people and every Sunday we breathed effervescent, festive air, we felt we were one with the fans. Several clubs have complimented us and even the sponsors were amazed by the warmth given off by our fans, who supported the team with passion throughout the season, but never went beyond that.”
