WiMORE Salsomaggiore Terme announces the purchase of the opposite Andrea Bulfon, who comes from Pallavolo Motta, also in the White Group of the national Serie A3 Credem Banca championship, and will be available to coach Mattioli starting from the next match against Stadium Mirandola scheduled for Tuesday at 6pm at the Sports Hall in Salsomaggiore Terme. Born on 14 December 1996 in Trieste and 198 centimeters tall, he grew up playing volleyball in Trieste then, away from home, between Club Italia, he played in B2 together with the yellow-blue captain Leoni in the 2011/2012 season, and the youth teams of Macerata, where he won one Under 19 scudetto and, after the loan to Paoloni Appignano in B1, he made his debut in SuperLega until becoming Italian champion in 2014 before also wearing the shirts of Castellana Grotte, Alessano in A2, Pineto in B, Fano and Pineto again in A3 , Santa Croce (A2) and, from the summer of 2021, Ortona, with whom last April he obtained promotion to Serie A2, leaving behind the relegation of the previous year. Finally, the experience of a few months among Motta’s ranks, also marked by an abdominal injury, and now the call from Salsomaggiore who, at the end of the transfer window, gives himself a luxury shot for the category, relaunching his prices in optics of salvation. “We had been on the market for a few weeks because we had to cover Ferraguti’s departure – says sporting director Luca Savi – during this search we had found an agreement with a player who, for bureaucratic reasons, was unable to register. While waiting for a definitive response from the Federation we had more than one injury including some important elements which meant that the Scita operation alone was not sufficient to complete the roster. We are in a position in the standings where we cannot afford to miss even just one opportunity starting from the next matches and when we decided to insert a new piece the name of Andrea (Bulfon) emerged and he represented a great opportunity for us. He is a player who has been playing in Serie A for ten years, last year he achieved promotion in a place like Ortona and had started the current season in Motta with the aim of moving up the category. Then he was held back by an injury but there was a willingness on our part to bet on him because we are sure that his desire for redemption is similar to that of our team group which has the perception of occupying an inappropriate ranking position to what we show in training and in matches.
