Video Check Room
The experimental project of the “Video Check Room” in Del Monte® Coppa Italia continues: the 23 eyes of the Video Check System cameras will be managed by a special Video Check Room, far from the pitch. The analysis of the images will be remote, and the third referee will analyze the requested calls assisted by a technician from Genius Italy (technical-commercial arm of the Volleyball League system).

A stopwatch on the sideline: 15” for service
15 seconds to serve after the end of the previous action to reduce dead times and increase the show. 4 LEDs at the corners of the field, visible by all players, will mark the time. The 1st referee will authorize the service after verifying that the two teams are ready to play and that the player who has to serve is in possession of the ball. Provided that there are no regulatory game interruptions (substitutions and rest times) or exceptional situations (injury, request for clarification from the referee, disciplinary measures, Video Check request, drying of the field only if extended or in the service area, etc. .), the player serving must hit the ball within 15 seconds of the end of the previous action, regardless of how many seconds have passed since the authorization to serve.
If, on the other hand, at the end of the game action a situation arises, such as, by way of example but not limited to, those listed above, which prolongs the interruption between the two actions, the service must be performed within 8 seconds following the permission from the 1st referee. Only in this second case does rule 12.4.4 (“The player serving must hit the ball within 8″ following the authorization whistle from the 1st referee”) maintain its validity.
The time elapsed since the end of the previous action is displayed on a monitor visible to both teams.

Soundtrack Volley: An authentic soundtrack for volleyball
The Serie A Volleyball League presented “Soundtrack Volley”, a royalty-free music library specially created to be the soundtrack of the Serie A matches, and which will relieve clubs and athletes from the increasingly pressing problems of copyright related to music in sports arena. After the successful test in the Del Monte® Supercoppa 2022 in Cagliari, and the Del Monte® Italian Cup of A2, the one on February 25 and 26 will be the first SuperLega Italian Cup with completely authentic sounds. Composed and produced by professional musicians and under the supervision of the artistic director Marco Caronna, the “Soundtrack Volley” accompanies fans at various times: in the arenas, with tracks dedicated to starting six, entry into the field, time out and much more, but also during the week, with melodies specially conceived for social networks, highlights and videos of all kinds. A real soundtrack for volleyball!

History of the Italian Cup… In Rome!
The Palazzo dello Sport will host the Coppa Italia for the fourth time in the history of the competition. In the 1994/95 Final Four it was Modena Volley, under the name Daytona, who won 3-1 in the showdown with Treviso. The conclusion of the 1998/99 Final Four was more bitter for the Venetians, as the Treviso players were defeated in three sets by Cuneo. In the third “Roman” Final of the Coppa Italia it was Trento who celebrated the conquest of the trophy, capable of coming back from a two set disadvantage against Cucine Lube to then put the arrow on the tie break.

Blue medal table
The Palazzo dello Sport in Rome will host eight athletes from the World Champion Italian national team: the Captain of the Italian national team Simone Giannelli, together with Roberto Russo will compete in the Sir Safety Susa Perugia jersey, to which is added Alessandro Piccinelli, European Champion 2021/22; on the other side of the net, they will find three Azzurri in the Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza jersey, namely Yuri Romanò, Leonardo Scanferla and Francesco Recine. Sponda Itas Trentino instead here are Sbertoli, Lavia and Michieletto, without forgetting Gabriele Laurenzano (European Under 20 Champion). Allianz Milano will instead field Paolo Porro, the Under 22 European champion, in the control room.
