The Final Four of Del Monte® Coppa Italia 2023 kicks off on Saturday 25 February at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome. Itas Trentino will be the protagonist of the second semi-final, in which they will face Allianz Milano: kick-off scheduled for 6 pm Live on RAI Sport HD, Radio Dolomiti and live streaming on the OTT Volleyball World TV platform.

The Gialloblù team arrives in the Eternal City with five victories in their last six matches (the only defeat on 12 February in the tie break with Perugia) and third place in the standings, just one point behind Modena. The gap from the Emilians was halved just last weekend, thanks to the success in the tie break on the Milan field that Kaziyski and his teammates found in this circumstance, as had already happened in the last three editions of the competition. To try to gain access to the Italian Cup final, already detached a year ago thanks to a victory in the semifinal against Allianz, we will also need to confirm ourselves in an inside or outside match.
“We want to experience a semifinal as protagonists, putting our best on the field because getting to play in it was not easy and therefore we must fully enjoy what we have achieved – declared the coach Angelo Lorenzetti on the eve – . The SuperLega this season is very competitive; to still be among the four teams that will compete for this trophy is a pride, but also a great satisfaction. Facing Milan again, as happened in the previous edition in the same phase of the draw and as happened in the previous weekend, is a further challenge: we will have to be good at not taking anything for granted and preparing for a match that could be very different from Sunday’s last. In fact, having won at the Allianz Cloud does not offer us any advantage over the match we are about to play. The level of the two teams is very similar and the difference will be made by small details or specific game situations in each set”.
Having reached Rome on Thursday evening, the Gialloblù will train in the late afternoon today at the Palazzo dello Sport for about ninety minutes; useful opportunity to take reference points with respect to a very large structure and to further test one’s condition. Itas Trentino will present itself at this appointment in full force, bearing in mind that Lisinac has also regularly held the last sessions with the group. Saturday’s match will be the 977th official match in the history of Trentino Volley (balance sheet: 678 wins and 298 defeats), the 531st to be played away, where Trento scored fourteen times this season.
