A few days before the start of pre-season preparation, Avimecc Volley Modica is starting to feel “charged” to face the new season in which coach Enzo Distefano’s blue-and-whites want to redeem last season with too many ups and downs, where only in extremis to save the category.
For this fifth consecutive year in the A3 series, the management staff has tried to capitalize on the mistakes made in the past and with renewed enthusiasm is ready to face a championship that becomes more competitive year after year. Among the most motivated, certainly the General Manager Luca Leocata who, having also been a Volley Modica player before, has the blue and white colors “stitched” on his skin and always wants the best for what has always been his favorite team.
“After the worries of last season lived with too many ups and downs – explains Luca Leocata – all the management and I certainly expect a better championship than the past one. Our goal is certainly to improve the results obtained last season and try to aim for the playoffs even though we know that the A3 series championship is raising the technical level year after year and we will have more and more aggressive teams as opponents. We have focused on last season’s “hard core” by adding one of the best Italian opposites in the category to the roster to try to achieve our goals. Furthermore – he continues – Avimecc Volley Modica has always focused heavily on young people and for this reason we have also “strengthened” the management staff of the youth sector with the return of Giorgio Scavino and Vanni Iacono and with the addition of coach Ciccio Italy we confirm that we believe in our growth project for those who could be our champions of the future. Later, however, there will also be some new additions regarding the managerial staff of the first team because one of our objectives is to always grow also at managerial level. For Avimecc Volley Modica – concludes Luca Leocata – it is an honor to represent the Sicily of volleyball in an important championship such as the A3 series and our other goal will certainly be to excite and consequently bring as many people as possible to the “PalaRizza” and give as many satisfactions as possible to our fans who always follow us with affection and passion”.
