One week after the longed-for and well-deserved salvation, Avimecc Volley Modica is starting to lay the foundations for the near future.

Meanwhile, the attention of the blue-and-white association is directed to the youth sector which has won three territorial titles and is preparing to compete in the inter-territorial phases, where it is hoped to collect as many successes as possible, but in the meantime we begin to outline the basics for next season.

To take stock of what has been done and what the management is preparing to do for next season is the president Ezio Aprile who analyzes at 360° what has been and what the future could hold for the Modica team that will be once again at the starting line of the A3 series championship.

“We started the season well and let’s say we ended it as we had started it – explains Ezio Aprile – I expected the team we had seen at the beginning of the championship in almost perfect performances with Catania, Aversa and Palmi and with Sorrento and Tuscania I saw the same motivations and the same qualities of the beginning of the season. Too bad for that period of decline, which I don’t know if physiological or due to lack of experience in some athletes, which unfortunately conditioned the season because everything has become more complicated. With Sorrento and with Tuscania, on the other hand, we have seen again the team we knew, beautiful and solid, who faced the two most important matches of the season with the right determination. For next year – he continues – I hope to work on the good things we’ve seen this year and try to be able to improve what instead didn’t go as we expected. We have to work to avoid the empty passes we had during the season and try to always have the same determination we had in the home games with the big leagues. We will certainly go on the market to try to add some elements of experience to the roster and to fix those things that did not work as we expected during the season. We relaxed for a week – he underlines – but now we’ll get right back to work to have the time necessary to figure out where to intervene and how. Now we will focus more on the youth formations, where we won the territorial title with the under 15, under 17 and under 19 formations. With Arianna Birolini’s under 15, we also passed the quarter-finals of the inter-territorial phase by beating Saracena Messina, while with the under 17 and under 19 we will play the quarter-finals in the next few days.
