A trip to the Marche region next Sunday for Avimecc Volley Modica who will take to the pitch at the “Forum” at 7.30 pm to face league leaders Banca Macerata.
A very difficult challenge against a team that needs no introduction and is dominating the Blue group of the A3 championship.
Enzo Distefano’s blue and whites are fresh from the clear victory obtained at the “PalaRizza” against Bari and are preparing the challenge against the “battleship” Macerata with the usual determination and awareness of the difficulties they will encounter.
“Having archived with satisfaction the clear success against Bari which arrived with a good performance – explains coach Enzo Distefano – we are preparing for the away match at the home of the league leaders. Everyone knows the level of the Marche team which deservedly leads the table in our group with very experienced people in its squad. Macerata is a team built to win, but we will go and play it openly, focusing on performance and without worrying about the result. As always, none of us spared ourselves in training during the week. The important thing is not to make a mistake in your approach to the race. We will have to be aggressive right from the start knowing that everything that comes will be earned. Playing with a free mind – he continues – could be favorable, but we know that the approach to the match will be fundamental, we know their values and that we will play in front of a warm audience in a hall that has written important pages of Italian volleyball. We will go there without pressure and with the sole objective of putting in a good performance. What I coach is a fantastic group because it is made up of guys who always work at their best, and training them with this staff that the club has made available to me makes my job even easier. A special mention goes to my second and scoutman Salvo Nicastro because he helps me a lot in the office and with the boys. These – concludes Distefano – are the right ingredients that are allowing us to live this season in absolute serenity and the results obtained on the pitch are the fruit of this work in synergy”.
