The week of preparation begins today for Avimecc Volley Modica in view of the two consecutive away games that will see the white and blue “Galletti” away from home for two rounds.

We start early on Saturday at 4pm with the match at the “PalaVitaletti” in Sabaudia, where the Modica sextet will be guests of Plus Volleyball.

On Sunday afternoon at the “PalaRizza” the first full success of the season arrived against a “tough” team like Lecce, but Avimecc with a good team performance and throwing their heart over the net managed to remain compact in the difficult moments of the match managing to recover from a six-point deficit in the first set which they then managed to win in a photo finish.

“A success against Lecce that the boys deserved after a very hard week of work and after a difficult away match in the midweek round in Naples, a field that I believe will be difficult even for the big teams in this championship – declares coach Enzo Distefano – we had a fantastic crowd who supported us throughout the match. We did everything we studied in training well. The guys were almost perfect. They had an immediate approach to the match even if the first set was complicated, but – he continues – we were good at recovering six points from our opponents and this gave us the strength and belief that we could do it even in the big sets. We had an impeccable sideout phase and managed to block Arguelles in the crucial phases of the match and I believe that the three points we deserved have finally arrived and perhaps this full victory was what we needed to definitively “take off” so that we gain more confidence and belief in performances we know we can do. Now – concludes the coach of Avimecc Volley Modica – let’s turn the page immediately and prepare ourselves as best we can for the away match in Sabaudia on Saturday, where we will find a motivated team that will try to exploit the field factor to try to move up in the standings, but we will be found ready and we will try to give continuity to Sunday’s performance and consequently to the result.”
